Mercedes' George Russell holds a slim 43.5% implied probability edge as traders' consensus pick for the 2026 F1 Drivers' Championship, buoyed by his experience and early-season win in Australia plus the Shanghai Sprint, despite trailing teammate Kimi Antonelli by nine points at 72-63 after three rounds. Antonelli's surge to 31.4% stems from his back-to-back Grand Prix victories in China and Japan—capitalizing on a timely safety car at Suzuka—making him the first teenager to lead the standings amid Mercedes' 45-point constructors' lead in the new regulation era. Recent team principal Toto Wolff comments affirm no orders yet, fueling an intra-team title fight, while rivals like Verstappen and Norris lag in weaker machinery, keeping their odds under 3%.
