Anthropic has not yet released Claude 5, with traders focusing on the company's rapid iteration pace through early 2026, including the February 5 launch of Claude Sonnet 4.6 and Opus 4.6, alongside dozens of March updates like enhanced computer use and agent capabilities. Leaks in February hinted at Sonnet 5 ("Fennec") and a potential "Mythos" tier above Opus 4.x, but these remain unconfirmed speculation amid competitive pressure from OpenAI's GPT advancements and Google's Gemini releases. Historical patterns suggest a full Claude 5 family drop in Q2-Q3 2026, aligning with Anthropic's 6-12 month major release cadence; watch for official announcements or developer previews, as no other labs have claimed a Claude 5 deployment. Prediction market consensus reflects skin-in-the-game bets on Anthropic ownership, though timelines could slip due to training challenges or regulatory scrutiny.

For this market to resolve to "Yes," Claude 5 must be launched and publicly accessible, including via open beta or open rolling waitlist signups. A closed beta or any form of private access will not suffice. The release must be clearly defined and publicly announced by Anthropic as being accessible to the general public.
Claude 5 refers to a product explicitly named Claude 5 (e.g. Claude 5.0 would count), or one that is recognized as a successor to Claude 4, similar to the progression from Claude 2 to Claude 3. Products labeled as Claude 4.5 or similar will not count for this market's resolution.
The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from Anthropic, with additional verification from a consensus of credible reporting.
