Trader consensus overwhelmingly favors under 3 million first-week sales for BTS's "Arirang" at 98% implied probability, reflecting the K-pop juggernaut's ongoing military hiatus with all seven members enlisted until mid-2025 at the earliest. No official album release or promotional rollout has materialized amid the group's absence from group activities since 2022's Proof, which still topped 2 million units despite scaled-back hype. Eldest member Jin's recent discharge on November 20 sparked solo buzz but no group album news, solidifying low expectations based on historical hiatus patterns where physical sales plummet without full-unit promotion, pre-orders, and fan events. An upset would demand an abrupt surprise drop with explosive Hanteo/Gaon pre-sales rivaling past megahits like Map of the Soul: 7, though traders see slim odds absent confirmed announcements. Next catalysts: potential 2025 comeback teases or solo chart trajectories.
