Catherine Trautmann leads trader consensus at 60.5% implied probability to win the Strasbourg mayoral election, driven by recent polls showing her 10-point advantage over incumbent Jeanne Barseghian and strong Socialist Party backing from her prior tenure as mayor from 2001 to 2008. Barseghian's 35.5% reflects challenges to her Green-led coalition amid voter fatigue on urban management issues like housing and transport. Jean-Philippe Vetter trails at 9.5%, hampered by center-right fragmentation. Trautmann's October candidacy announcement and PS primary win have catalyzed her surge, with markets eyeing 2026 first-round balloting in March as the next catalyst for shifts.
