OpenAI's accelerating IPO preparations for Q4 2026, following a March Series C valuation of $850 billion and hires like former DocuSign CFO Sarah Friar for investor relations, anchor trader consensus on closing market cap thresholds. Surging annualized revenue above $20 billion from enterprise AI tools like ChatGPT drives optimism, yet $14 billion annual cash burn and projected unprofitability through 2030 fuel skepticism amid Anthropic rivalry and Sora user declines. SoftBank's $40 billion loan-backed commitment and private equity talks signal pre-IPO funding momentum. Key catalysts include S-1 filing, further capital raises, and broader AI sector multiples versus Nasdaq benchmarks.
