This market will resolve to "Yes" if Maersk announces by January 15, 2024 ET that they will resume shipping through the Red Sea. Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No.”

Note that an announcement before the resolution date that Maersk will resume shipping through the Red Sea will suffice to resolve this market to “Yes” regardless of when or if their shipping resumes. 

The primary resolution source will be official information from Maersk, however a consensus of credible reporting will also be used.

This market will resolve to “Yes” if Amazon Web services experiences any service interruption event with a severity classification of “disrupted” by January 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No.”

The severity classification of an AWS service interruption event may be found on the AWS Health Dashboard (https://health.aws.amazon.com/health/status) when the relevant event is selected under “List of events.” Only publicly visible service events listed on the AWS Health Dashboard status page qualify. Account-specific AWS Health events do not count.

Qualifying incidents may include outages and other issues whose severity AWS classifies as “disrupted.” 

This market will resolve as soon as the severity of any service interruption is classified as “disrupted”, regardless of subsequent revisions or corrections. A "strike" is defined as the use of aerial bombs, drones, naval drones, naval guns, artillery, or missiles (including cruise or ballistic missiles) which impact a tanker anywhere in the Black Sea, regardless of flag, ownership, or damage level. 

Strikes attributed to Ukraine by media or third parties such as Turkey, including the December 2 incident involving the tanker "Midvolga-2” will qualify, regardless of whether Ukraine publicly denies involvement or if definitive attribution is not confirmed. This market will resolve according to the maximum Arctic sea ice extent for all days between November 20, 2025 and April 1, 2026, as published by the National Snow and Ice Data Center.

This market will remain open until data has been published for April 1, 2026, at which point it will resolve immediately. Any revisions to sea ice extent recorded after data is published for April 1, 2026 will not be considered.

The resolution source for this market measures Arctic sea ice extent to thousands of square kilometers (e.g. 14.255 million sq km). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market.
