Cienciano sits third on 16 points with a league-high +9 goal difference from 19 goals scored, while Universitario holds fourth at 15 points on steady 4-3-1 form, keeping the top four within five points. Mid-table contenders like Sporting Cristal, FBC Melgar, and Comerciantes Unidos cluster at 11 points, underscoring the league's parity and vulnerability to shifts from the pivotal Universitario-Alianza Lima Clasico this weekend, which could redefine the title race.
