Anthropic has not released Claude 5 as of early April 2026, with traders pricing low near-term probabilities amid rapid iterations on the Claude 4 family, including Opus 4.6 and Sonnet 4.6 launched in February. Leaked benchmarks from March 31 reveal "Mythos," a standalone flagship model surpassing Opus 4.6 on agentic coding (87.4% SWE-bench verified), computer use (79.6% OSWorld), and multidisciplinary reasoning (71.5% with tools on Humanity's Last Exam), positioning it as a potential precursor or alternative to Claude 5 rather than a numbered increment. This reflects Anthropic's strategy to leapfrog benchmarks amid fierce rivalry with OpenAI's GPT series and Google's Gemini, with no official timeline announced—watch for developer previews or earnings calls that could signal Q2 deployment and shift market-implied odds.

For this market to resolve to "Yes," Claude 5 must be launched and publicly accessible, including via open beta or open rolling waitlist signups. A closed beta or any form of private access will not suffice. The release must be clearly defined and publicly announced by Anthropic as being accessible to the general public.
Claude 5 refers to a product explicitly named Claude 5 (e.g. Claude 5.0 would count), or one that is recognized as a successor to Claude 4, similar to the progression from Claude 2 to Claude 3. Products labeled as Claude 4.5 or similar will not count for this market's resolution.
The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from Anthropic, with additional verification from a consensus of credible reporting.
