Trader consensus favors under 500 US flight cancellations on March 29 at 61.5% implied probability for "No," reflecting recent trends of subdued disruption amid ongoing partial government shutdown pressures on TSA staffing since mid-February. March 27 recorded just 261 cancellations and 3,012 delays despite high winds impacting New York and Philadelphia airports per FAA reports, well below the month's average of around 340 daily cancellations. Earlier March storms drove spikes over 1,000, but stabilizing weather forecasts, no anticipated strikes or air traffic control failures, and localized issues like LaGuardia constraints have kept volumes low, with traders pricing in continuation absent new catalysts like severe weather or escalation in federal funding disputes affecting DHS and aviation agencies.
