Traders price "Yes" at 53% for over 450 US flight cancellations on March 27, reflecting uncertainty over severe weather forecasts across the Midwest and Northeast, including high winds up to 50 mph and thunderstorms disrupting hubs like Chicago O'Hare, Denver, and Atlanta. Yesterday saw around 350 cancellations nationwide due to lingering effects from recent nor'easters and mechanical delays at major carriers like United and Delta, but spring break demand and improving conditions have kept numbers below the threshold lately. The close contest hinges on real-time storm tracks—if FAA ground stops or airport closures escalate midday, totals could surpass 450; otherwise, proactive airline scheduling may cap disruptions below that mark, with FlightAware data providing the decisive updates.
