Trader consensus on Polymarket prices 2026 Mexico annual headline inflation in a tight race, with 4.50%-4.99% at 27.5% edging 5.00%-5.49% (25.6%) and 4.00%-4.49% (23.0%), reflecting sticky price pressures despite Banxico's 3% target. Accelerating inflation to 4.63% year-over-year in early March—driven by food and energy—and core rates holding near 4.5% prompted a split 3-2 rate cut to 6.75% on March 26, as the central bank forecasts Q4 2026 average at 3.5% while private analysts revised end-year estimates to 4.21%. Competitive dynamics hinge on full March CPI data due soon and the May 7 Banxico meeting, where peso volatility or wage growth could tip odds higher if disinflation falters.
