This aligns with recent dry conditions—low relative humidity and breezy winds noted in NWS fire weather advisories—favoring clear skies and peak afternoon heating, though model ensembles like GFS and ECMWF show spreads of 5–10°F due to uncertainties in cloud cover timing and frontal boundary proximity. Climatological April 2 averages hover near 73°F at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta Airport, but current patterns suggest 8–12°F above normal; watch NWS updates and 00z/12z model runs for refinements ahead of resolution based on official observed max temperature.
