Skatov gained momentum by qualifying with a straight-sets win over local Moez Echargui on March 30, rebounding from an early Alicante Challenger exit to Sebastian Ofner, while showcasing a solid 2026 clay mark at lower levels (22-19 per reports). Carabelli, an Argentine clay specialist with strong baseline play, arrives off direct entry following quarterfinal runs in Buenos Aires and Rio earlier this year but recent hard-court losses at Indian Wells and Miami. No injuries reported; mild weather favors steady rallying.
