Moriya carries qualifying momentum into his opener against lower-ranked Koki Matsuda (532) after a dominant 7-5, 6-0 victory over Yusuke Takahashi yesterday, while Trotter faces a sterner test versus Dan Added (200) in round one, with winners potentially clashing in the last 16. The matchup's balance stems from Moriya's home hardcourt experience and easier path offsetting Trotter's pedigree; R1 outcomes and fatigue from Moriya's recent qualifiers could swing odds decisively.
