If the BLS does not release the relevant figures on the scheduled date, this market may remain open up until the scheduled release time of the next CPI report (https://www.bls.gov/schedule). If the information is not released by that time, this market will resolve according to the figures of the most recent previous month with available data.Polymarket traders are closely split, pricing 0.5% monthly CPI at 50% alongside ≥0.9% at 50%, reflecting uncertainty after April 2026's hotter-than-expected Consumer Price Index rose 0.6% month-over-month—versus consensus for milder gains—with core CPI accelerating 0.4% monthly and 2.8% annually amid sticky shelter costs and energy surges. This follows March's 0.9% headline jump, the largest since 2022, fueling trader debate on whether inflation momentum persists into May via gasoline volatility and services pricing. Consensus forecasts hover near 0.5-0.6% monthly for the June 10 release, but elevated Treasury yields and Fed hawkishness amplify risks of an upside surprise, with no clear swing data yet to break the deadlock.
