If the information is not released by that time, this market will resolve according to the figures of the most recent previous month with available data.Recent April CPI data showed a 0.6% month-over-month increase, aligning with forecasts but pushing the year-over-year rate to 3.8% amid elevated energy prices from geopolitical tensions and shelter costs. Cleveland Fed nowcasts place May CPI month-over-month at 0.46%, supporting the market's heaviest weighting on a 0.5% print as the base case amid moderating but still firm price pressures. Core measures have reaccelerated modestly, reflecting tariff pass-through and goods inflation, while consumer expectations have ticked higher. With the May release due June 10, traders are pricing in limited downside surprises given the recent trajectory of labor market data and monetary policy signals.
