Kuai Man, seeded No. 5, stunned Sun 4-2 in the WTT Champions Chongqing quarterfinals just three weeks ago—her second upset victory over the top seed this year—building momentum after advancing through group play with a gritty 3-2 win over Charlotte Lutz. Sun eased through her group 3-0 over Li Yu-Jhun, showcasing sharp forehand control, but stylistic familiarity favors neither decisively. Late tactical tweaks, serve variations, or endurance in extended rallies could swing odds, underscoring table tennis's upset potential in high-stakes matchups.
