Yordan Alvarez and Mike Trout share the lead following injury-plagued campaigns—Alvarez limited to 48 games on the injured list—bolstered by Trout's standout opening day performance echoing past winners like George Springer. Jonathan India and Red Sox infielder Kristian Campbell trail closely on breakout potential from down years, while Gerrit Cole's post-Tommy John recovery and Zack Gelof's Athletics momentum keep the pitching-hitting mix competitive, with full-season health and counting stats like home runs, ERA, and WAR pivotal to separating the field.
