Trader consensus on TSA checkpoint throughput for April 1 splits nearly evenly between under 2.4 million (50%) and 2.4-2.6 million (49.5%), reflecting recent weekday volumes straddling the 2.4 million threshold amid spring break peaks and a partial DHS government shutdown. March 25 screened 2.38 million passengers, March 24 hit 2.19 million, and March 26 reached 2.72 million, as 40-50% TSA officer callouts and 450 quits caused four-hour lines, suppressing demand despite Airlines for America projecting 171 million spring travelers at 2.8 million daily average. The Senate's March 27 DHS funding bill could boost staffing and confidence, while pre-Easter (April 5) travel or weather disruptions might tip volumes higher or lower, maintaining uncertainty.
