This market will resolve according to the candidate who wins the nomination for the Democratic Party to contest the MI-07 congressional district seat in the U.S. House of Representatives in the 2026 midterm elections. The Democratic primary will take place on August 4, 2026. If no nominee is announced by November 3, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source for this market will be a consensus of official Democrat sources, including https://democrats.org/. Any replacement of the nominee before election day will not change the resolution of the market.Bridget Brink holds a commanding lead in trader consensus for the Michigan 7th Congressional District Democratic primary due to her extensive institutional endorsements, including from EMILY’s List, the Michigan Education Association, and former state House Speaker Joe Tate, combined with her background as a Michigan native and former U.S. ambassador to Ukraine. William Lawrence serves as the main alternative, backed by progressive figures such as Sen. Bernie Sanders and Reps. Rashida Tlaib and Ro Khanna. Josh Cowen’s withdrawal and endorsement of Brink further consolidated support for the frontrunner ahead of the August 4 primary. The limited remaining campaign window reduces opportunities for major shifts from additional spending or late developments in this open-seat contest.
