Both clubs exited before quarterfinals (April 9/16 legs: AZ Alkmaar vs. Shakhtar, Fiorentina vs. Crystal Palace, AEK Athens vs. Rayo Vallecano, Strasbourg vs. Mainz), freezing their tallies as remaining contenders—Sven Mijnans (AZ, 6 goals), Ismaïla Sarr (Crystal Palace, 5), Martial Godo (Strasbourg, 4 straight scoring games), Dereck Kutesa and Aboubakary Koïta (AEK, ~5 each), Luka Jović (Fiorentina)—face long odds to net 3+ more in semis and final.
