Trader sentiment on Claude downtime days in April reflects a razor-thin split between 12+ days (41.5%) and 9-11 days (40%), fueled by Anthropic's recent surge in service disruptions amid aggressive scaling to challenge OpenAI's revenue lead. Elevated error rates hit Claude Sonnet 4.6 and Opus 4.6 on April 3-4, following a three-hour outage on April 1 and multiple March incidents—including a five-hour blackout on March 27—tied to capacity limitations on claude.ai. This pattern underscores infrastructure strain from surging demand for Anthropic's large language models, with traders weighing ongoing instability against potential fixes like expanded GPU/TPU allocation before month-end. Resolution hinges on any full-day downtime logged via official status updates.
