Anthropic has yet to release Claude 5, its next-generation large language model, with Claude Opus 4.6 and Sonnet 4.6—excelling in agentic coding, computer use, and professional workflows—launched in early February 2026 as the current frontier offerings. CEO Dario Amodei confirmed a Q2 2026 rollout in recent interviews, highlighting a potential 500,000-token context window and advanced capabilities, fueling trader consensus amid fierce competition from OpenAI's GPT iterations and xAI's Grok advancements. Speculative leaks of internal source code, including hints at "Mythos" features, have intensified buzz but lack official verification. Key catalysts ahead include developer previews or earnings updates, as Anthropic's rapid 50-feature sprint in under two months underscores volatile timelines prone to slips.
