The assists per game leader market remains razor-tight atop the NCAAM standings, with Jeremy Fears Jr. edging Braden Smith and Christian Anderson due to early-season volume in high-pace offenses, but all top contenders hovering between 6.8 and 7.5 APG over just 4-6 games played. Trader consensus reflects small-sample volatility, as freshmen like Fears (Michigan State) and Mateo Esmeraldo (Rhode Island) flash playmaking upside alongside veterans like Donovan Dent (New Mexico), while varying minutes, team tempo, and conference schedules introduce uncertainty. No major injuries or suspensions alter rotations yet, keeping the wisdom of crowds balanced amid potential hot streaks or slumps ahead of deeper non-conference play.
