Trader consensus on Polymarket heavily favors BTS's 'Arirang' first-week album sales staying under 3 million copies at 96.2% implied probability, primarily due to the group's extended hiatus amid mandatory military service for most members until mid-2025, curtailing typical K-pop powerhouse promotion like fan events and global tours. Historical BTS full-group albums like 'Proof' topped 3.5 million first-week sales with massive preorders, but this project's scale remains unclear—potentially a niche cultural tribute to the traditional Korean folk song rather than a standard blockbuster. Low buzz on charts trackers and streaming previews reinforces caution. An upset to 3-4 million would require unexpected viral traction or surprise blockbuster preorders, though current sentiment sees slim odds without confirmed heavyweight rollout.
