Trader consensus on Polymarket heavily favors BTS's "Arirang" under 3 million first-week album sales at 94.8% implied probability, driven by early Hanteo and Circle Chart data confirming just over 1.5 million units shipped domestically by day three—far below the 3-4 million benchmarks of hits like "Proof" or "Butter." With BTS members still in military service and the album positioned as a special folk-inspired compilation rather than a full-group comeback, fan mobilization has been muted amid K-pop market saturation from rivals like NewJeans and Stray Kids. Public sentiment on X reflects disappointment over limited promos and no U.S. physical bundles boosting exports. An upset to 3m+ would require improbable late-week surges from overseas restocks or verified recount anomalies, unlikely given historical first-week closeouts.
