Forecasts from the National Weather Service and major models indicate a high temperature in the upper 60s to low 70s for New York City on September 21, with most guidance centering near 70°F under partly sunny skies and northerly winds. This cooler-than-average reading—well below the 74°F climatological normal—reflects a post-frontal air mass with limited daytime heating and persistent cloud cover. Trader consensus heavily favors the 70-71°F bin as the most likely outcome, with 72-73°F as a secondary possibility if clearing allows slightly more insolation. The 68-69°F range captures downside risk from thicker clouds or earlier rain. Updated model runs and afternoon observations will refine the exact maximum before resolution.
