General elections are scheduled to be held in Malta on May 30, 2026. This market will resolve according to the official voter turnout rate for the 2026 Maltese general election, defined as the total number of votes cast divided by the total number of registered voters. If the reported value falls exactly between two brackets, this market will resolve to the higher bracket. If the results of this election are not definitively known by March 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket. This market will resolve based on the official results as reported by the Government of Malta, including the Electoral Commission of Malta (https://electoral.gov.mt/)Recent polling and surveys ahead of Malta’s May 30 general election indicate turnout likely falling in the 77-88% range, extending the decline recorded at 85.6% in 2022—the lowest since 1955 and well below the historical average above 90%. Elevated numbers of undecided voters and rising abstention trends amid a shortened campaign period have reinforced expectations of reduced participation, positioning the below-85% outcome as the leading trader consensus. Major parties continue mobilization drives and overseas voting expansions, yet final-week engagement remains the key variable that could still influence the result.
