The 32 teams competing at IEM Cologne Major 2026 were locked in early April via Valve Regional Standings cutoff on April 6, granting direct invites across Stage 1 Swiss (16 teams like GamerLegion, HEROIC, Gaimin Gladiators), Stage 2 (FUT, G2, 9z), and Stage 3 (Vitality, Natus Vincere, FURIA, The MongolZ). FaZe Clan's absence marks the end of their decade-long Major streak amid inconsistent form. With rosters confirmed and no withdrawals as of May 9, trader consensus reflects stability, though recent PGL Astana results and CS2 meta shifts preview advancement potential into June 2-21 playoffs at Lanxess Arena.
