Mercedes leads the 2026 F1 constructors' championship with a substantial points advantage after the opening rounds under the new power unit regulations, driven by strong qualifying and race pace from drivers Kimi Antonelli and George Russell. This performance has produced multiple wins and consistent podiums, widening the gap over Ferrari and McLaren in the standings. Trader consensus at 81% for Mercedes reflects the team's early dominance and reliability, while the next-closest teams trail by double-digit margins with limited opportunities to close the deficit before the summer break. Rivals have yet to demonstrate consistent pace or development responses that could alter the current hierarchy.
