Mumbai Indians lead trader consensus at 23% implied probability for the 2026 IPL title largely due to their powerhouse retained core—Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, and Tilak Varma—bolstered by five championships and auction purse flexibility for reinforcements. The race stays bunched among top contenders like Royal Challengers Bengaluru (16%, anchored by Virat Kohli) and Chennai Super Kings (13.5%, with Ruturaj Gaikwad, Jadeja, Dube, and a final MS Dhoni push) because the November 2024 mega auction resets rosters across all 10 franchises, enabling upstarts like Gujarat Titans and Sunrisers Hyderabad (both 9.5%, strong batting all-rounders retained) to snag global stars amid high uncertainty. Historical parity, brand recruiting edges, and coaching stability keep probabilities dispersed rather than dominant.
