Trader consensus on Polymarket heavily favors BTS' 'Arirang' first-week album sales falling under 3 million units at 98% implied probability, driven by the group's extended military service hiatus—most members remain enlisted until mid-2025—with no official promotion, pre-orders, or major label rollout for this release. Absent the typical ARMY fan mobilization and streaming surges that propelled past BTS albums like 'Proof' to 2.5+ million first-week U.S. sales, current metrics show minimal buzz on platforms like Spotify or Hanteo charts. Historical K-pop precedents underscore low expectations for non-flagship drops, but an upset could arise from unexpected viral traction on TikTok, surprise endorsements, or clarified official status boosting last-minute sales data before the tracking week closes.
