Differentiating factors include variable cloud cover potentially capping peaks at 18°C, versus clearing skies and afternoon solar heating pushing toward 20°C or the China Meteorological Administration's March 29 projection of 21°C; moderating sea breezes from the East China Sea add 1–2°C uncertainty consistent with early April climatology at Xujiahui station (historical highs averaging 18–19°C). Official hourly observations will refine sentiment as the day progresses toward resolution.
