Recent polling averages for Sweden’s September 13 parliamentary election show the Social Democrats maintaining a clear lead, while Sweden Democrats hold a narrow but consistent edge over the Moderates for second place. This positioning underpins the strong trader consensus on SD as the most likely runner-up. The right-wing bloc, including the Moderates and their Sweden Democrats support partners, has narrowed the overall opposition lead in the final weeks through gains on issues such as security and immigration. Latest surveys place SD around 19-20 percent and Moderates near 17-18 percent, with limited movement that has kept the second-place probability stable. The election timeline leaves little room for late shifts capable of altering this ordering.
