Trader consensus on Polymarket heavily favors frequent Claude downtime in April, with 52% implied probability for 12+ days and 40% for 9-11 days, reflecting a string of recent outages on Anthropic's flagship large language models. Elevated error rates struck Sonnet 4.6 and Opus 4.6 on April 4 (22 minutes), Sonnet 4.6 on April 3 (over an hour), and multiple issues on April 1—including desktop app errors and timeouts spanning from March 31—confirming at least three downtime days already. This pattern echoes late March disruptions amid Anthropic's aggressive scaling to chase OpenAI in 2026 AI revenue, straining infrastructure under surging demand for advanced AI capabilities. With 25 days remaining, traders anticipate persistent capacity challenges unless Anthropic announces reliability fixes soon.
