Shares debuted on Nasdaq under ticker SPCX on June 12 and surged nearly 19% to close near $161, pushing market cap above $2 trillion on debut and making Elon Musk the first trillionaire. Traders are focused on Starlink’s broadband and direct-to-device momentum, planned space-based AI data centers, and Starship flight cadence as primary growth drivers, alongside historical parallels to other mega-tech listings where post-IPO volatility often hinges on execution milestones in the first earnings cycle.
