Google DeepMind's Veo 4, the anticipated next iteration of its state-of-the-art AI video generation model, remains unreleased with no official announcement, driving low market-implied probabilities across near-term outcomes and reflecting trader caution. A March 29 post from Veo team engineer Medhini alluded to its development days after OpenAI shuttered Sora, fueling speculation of a surprise drop, yet unconfirmed rumors tie it to matching competitors like ByteDance's Kling or Seedance 2.0. Veo 3 rolled out globally in July 2025 following a May preview, aligning with 5-6 month upgrade cycles. Watch Google I/O in May for potential unveiling amid intensifying AI video benchmarks and multimodal capabilities.
