Carlos Alcaraz enters the Rolex Monte Carlo Masters semi-final as the clear trader consensus favorite against local hero Valentin Vacherot, buoyed by his title defense on clay where he boasts multiple Masters 1000 triumphs, including last year's win here. Alcaraz has dropped just one set en route, defeating Sebastian Baez, Tomas Martin Etcheverry, and Alexander Bublik in the quarter-finals with his signature power and baseline prowess. Vacherot, riding a historic surge—highlighted by his shock Shanghai Masters victory last fall and a gritty 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 upset over Alex de Minaur yesterday—thrives on home support at Court Rainier III, but lacks head-to-head experience against the world No. 1. No major injuries reported; crowd energy and clay familiarity give the underdog realistic upset potential in this first meeting.
