The 2026 Genesis Scottish Open at The Renaissance Club features an elite PGA Tour and DP World Tour field led by Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm, and Ludvig Åberg, with several top-10 players committed for the July 9-12 event. The links-style layout rewards precise driving, creative shot-making, and ball flight control amid typical Scottish wind and firm conditions, favoring players with recent links experience such as McIlroy (2023 winner there) and local Robert MacIntyre. Defending champion Chris Gotterup enters on strong recent form, while roster adjustments including multiple withdrawals have slightly altered the depth. Trader consensus for top-20 outcomes reflects the field's overall strength, where consistent ball-striking and four-round scoring rather than single-round flashes often determine positioning.
