Official NWS forecasts project a high near 74°F for Atlanta on September 24 under mostly cloudy skies with easterly winds of 10–15 mph, limiting daytime heating through reduced solar insolation and advection of cooler air. Market pricing clusters on 70–73°F outcomes because persistent cloud cover and a stable post-frontal airmass have suppressed temperatures below the 81°F September climatological average, with early observations holding in the mid-60s. Key variables include exact cloud thickness and any brief clearing that could allow brief warming toward the forecast maximum; resolution hinges on the official KATL daily high. Traders weigh these factors against historical variability in similar setups.
