Recent atmospheric conditions over Atlanta, including persistent cloud cover and easterly winds of 7–15 mph, limited nocturnal radiative cooling and kept the overnight low in the mid-60s Fahrenheit on September 23. Official forecasts from the National Weather Service highlighted a mostly cloudy regime with a slight shower chance, which suppressed temperature drops below the seasonal normal low of 63°F. Model guidance converged on minimum readings near 65–67°F, aligning with the near-even market probabilities for the 64–65°F and 66–67°F bins. Historical September climatology shows typical overnight lows in this range under similar moisture and wind patterns, with clearer skies required for readings at or below 63°F.
