AJ Dybantsa's nation-leading 25.5 points per game across 35 outings as BYU's freshman forward drives his overwhelming 96.1% implied probability as NCAAM scoring leader, capping a historic season with the third-most points by a first-year player ever and strong NCAA Tournament showings like 35 points in a first-round loss to Texas. His efficient 51% field goal shooting and consistent volume outpace challengers, including California Baptist's Dominique Daniels Jr. (23.2 PPG in 33 games) and Jackson State's Daeshun Ruffin (23.3 PPG in 28), whose mid-major schedules and lower averages create a substantial gap. Realistic challenges would require unprecedented scoring barrages in final tournament games or rare stat revisions, though the season's March 26 conclusion leaves little room for shifts.
