Trader consensus heavily favors Nebraska's Fred Hoiberg at 74% implied probability for Naismith Men's College Coach of the Year, driven by his orchestration of the Huskers' historic 2025-26 turnaround—including a school-record 27 wins, first-ever Sweet Sixteen appearance in the NCAA Tournament, and a 26-5 regular-season mark that earned him Big Ten Coach of the Year honors from peers. Finalists were announced last week, spotlighting Hoiberg alongside Arizona's Tommy Lloyd (14%, guiding a 35-2 Wildcats squad to their first Final Four), Michigan's Dusty May (4%, USBWA National Coach of the Year after program revival), and Duke's Jon Scheyer (3.2%). Hoiberg's overachievement from a perennial Big Ten cellar-dweller stands out amid ongoing Final Four developments, with fan voting (5% of total) now open.
