This positioning stems from ongoing extreme drought across South Florida, which has limited cloud cover and boosted recent highs—like 85°F on March 28—while neutral ENSO conditions favor climatological early April normals around 82°F. Differentiating factors include sea breeze timing, which could cap peaks at lower bins via coastal mixing, versus potential inland heating under drier air; forecast models like GFS and ECMWF show convergence near 80°F but with 1-2°F spreads amid typical spring uncertainty.
