Oklahoma City Thunder hold a commanding three-game lead over the San Antonio Spurs atop Western Conference standings at 60-16 versus 57-18 with six games remaining, fueling trader consensus at 75% implied probability for the #1 seed and home-court advantage through the playoffs. The Spurs, owning the season series tiebreaker 4-1, have surged with 16 wins in their last 17 games behind Victor Wembanyama's dominance, narrowing the gap from five games a week ago, yet Thunder consistency—highlighted by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's clutch performances in recent overtime victories—has maintained separation. No major injuries reported for key players, but OKC's lighter remaining schedule versus San Antonio's tougher slate bolsters their position as the clear frontrunner.
