Trader consensus positions the New York Yankees as slight AL East favorites at 34.5% implied probability for the 2026 champion, fueled by their elite core of Aaron Judge, Anthony Volpe, and aggressive pursuit of Juan Soto's re-signing amid free agency buzz, strengthening an offense that led MLB in home runs last season. Boston Red Sox (25%) gained ground with recent additions to their young pitching rotation and outfield depth, capitalizing on momentum from a solid 2024 finish. Toronto Blue Jays (23.5%) hold steady behind Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Bo Bichette, bolstered by bullpen reinforcements and arbitration wins. Baltimore Orioles (20.5%) leverage top farm prospects like Gunnar Henderson despite rotation questions post-Corbin Burnes trade, while Tampa Bay Rays (6.3%) lag amid payroll constraints and rebuild signals.

In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official winner as determined by MLB rules. If multiple winners are announced then this market will resolve to the team whose listed nickname comes first alphabetically.
If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed team to be named the 2026 American League East division champion per the rules of the MLB (e.g., they are eliminated in the playoffs), the corresponding market will resolve to “No”.
If the 2026 MLB regular season is cancelled, postponed after October 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”.
The primary resolution source will be official information from Major League Baseball (https://www.mlb.com/); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
