This market will resolve to the player who wins the 2026 Edgar Martinez Outstanding Designated Hitter award for the 2026 MLB Season. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official winner as determined by MLB rules. If multiple winners are announced then this market will resolve to the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If the 2026 MLB season is cancelled, postponed after December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from Major League Baseball; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Yordan Alvarez holds the clearest edge in the 2026 Edgar Martínez Outstanding Designated Hitter race thanks to his dominant AL campaign, posting a .326/.430/.644 slash line with 24 home runs and a 1.075 OPS through mid-June while ranking among league leaders in multiple categories. The Houston slugger’s return to full health after prior injury-limited seasons has fueled consistent power and on-base production that outpaces other qualified DHs. Shohei Ohtani sits second in implied probability on the strength of his two-way excellence and NL-leading plate discipline, though his pitching workload splits attention. Kyle Schwarber’s power output keeps him close behind as a top NL option, while the rest of the field trails significantly behind these three in the latest hitting metrics and award chatter. Recent All-Star balloting and MVP polling reinforce Alvarez’s current frontrunner status among DH specialists.
