Kessler, the sixth seed and taller at 175cm, enters with solid 2026 form (11-9 overall, 4-1 on clay), leveraging her power game, while Putintseva's defensive grinding shines on clay (career 63.7% win rate WTA level). Both show moderate YTD records without injury reports; cool 14°C weather could prolong rallies, testing endurance in this competitive matchup where ranking favors Kessler but surface history bolsters the underdog.
