McGregor, moving up from lightweight and featherweight roots, faces questions around ring rust following his 2021 leg injury, while Holloway brings strong momentum from consistent featherweight performances and a history of absorbing pressure in high-stakes bouts. Their 2013 encounter, won by McGregor via decision, adds historical context, but the long hiatus and weight class shift tilt implied probabilities toward Holloway's experience at close range and volume striking. Upcoming factors like training camp reports and weigh-in results could influence sentiment ahead of the July 11 main event in Las Vegas.
