This market will resolve to the player who wins the 2026 Edgar Martinez Outstanding Designated Hitter award for the 2026 MLB Season. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official winner as determined by MLB rules. If multiple winners are announced then this market will resolve to the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If the 2026 MLB season is cancelled, postponed after December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from Major League Baseball; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Early in the 2026 MLB season after about 35 games, trader sentiment clusters around a tight pack of DH-eligible hitters like Kyle Schwarber, Yandy Diaz, Christian Yelich, Ryan O'Hearn, Samuel Basallo, and others due to their comparable OPS figures above .850 and parallel power surges—Schwarber's 11 home runs offsetting a .213 batting average, Diaz's .333 average anchoring high contact rates, and O'Hearn's 24 RBI leading production stats. Breakout candidates such as Basallo and Ivan Herrera have piled up extra-base hits with sufficient DH plate appearances, fueling small-sample volatility that equalizes preseason favorites like Shohei Ohtani and Yordan Alvarez, keeping the Edgar Martinez Outstanding Designated Hitter Award race wide open amid no major injuries or roster shifts in the past week.
