Toronto's staff remains decimated by absences of Jose Berrios (elbow), Shane Bieber (elbow), Max Scherzer (forearm/ankle), and Cody Ponce (ACL), forcing heavy bullpen usage amid a recent loss to the Twins; the Angels counter without catcher Logan O'Hoppe (wrist fracture), Yusei Kikuchi (shoulder), and relievers Ben Joyce (shoulder) and Kirby Yates (knee), exacerbating their bullpen woes and seven-game skid. Following a 2-1 Jays edge in April's head-to-head, home-field advantage and lineup depth could tilt trader consensus, pending probable pitchers.
